Scott has worked at HYTEK since 1995 and has been Group CEO and Director for more than 20 years. Before starting his career in the building and manufacturing industry Scott completed an electrical apprenticeship, worked as an electrician and ran his own electrical business.
As CEO he has expanded the HYTEK vision in steel manufacture to produce steel frames and structural steel. His philosophy is that, with good people and high ethics, anything is possible. And so, he works with a highly trained and qualified, hand-picked, long-term HYTEK team to find solutions in architectural designs and steel that meet the challenges of the demanding commercial, industrial and domestic building industry.
As Principal Owner of HYTEK Group, Liza’l has many years of experience in the building industry, including her role as a Director at GJ Gardner Homes Jimboomba for nearly five years. She uses her background experience and knowledge in the building industry to streamline processes and manage compliance issues at HYTEK Group. As Group Principal she is a key decision-maker and architect of the company’s vision. Liza’l was born and educated in Wales, UK, and has a qualification in Accountancy and Business Management, Business Administration and Management from Pontypridd College.
Daniel has been around construction in the HYTEK family business all his life. He has worked on the factory floor as well as building sites and on the construction team for domestic houses and commercial high-rises. To his knowledge of building and steel solutions, he brings his skills in technology and innovation. Prior to joining HYTEK, Daniel gained his degree with honours, worked as a researcher at Griffith University and as a Civil Engineer for ADG Engineers. He has worked on building restorations, material feasibility studies, patented design and structural analysis, and for the Department of Science, Information Technology and Innovation where he honed his technology skills in physical and 3D modelling and use of analytical software.
As General Manager of HYTEK, Lee oversees the estimation, detailing, manufacturing and installation of structural and light-gauge steel framing. As an expert on steel and its various uses, Lee acts as a key mentor and trainer, upskilling the HYTEK team to meet project needs. With a background of 35 years in the construction industry as a Carpenter and Joiner, Lee specialises in troubleshooting and finding innovative solutions to construction challenges.
Jonathan’s career at HYTEK has seen him progress from Design Manager (2011 to 2020) to Estimation and Technical Manager (2020) where he now works to lead client-focused solutions and designs in steel framing.
Building on a foundation of 27 years’ experience in the Manufacturing industry, Jason started with HYTEK as the Manufacturing Manager in 2010. Jason’s role focuses on manufacturing efficiencies and delivering quality products and improving workflows in a safe environment. Jason also manages HYTEK’s Mentoring Programme and works closely with organisations to arrange HYTEK’s involvement in youth rehabilitation and back-to-work programmes.
Neil’s industry background gives him a unique combination of experience that contributes high-level skills to the HYTEK team. With mining manufacturing, project management experience and specialised in quality assurance, compliance and safety for another decade before joining HYTEK as Scheduling Coordinator & Safety in 2021 then Operations Manager in 2023. He has achieved diplomas in management, quality auditing and health and safety.
Jason joined HYTEK as a Detailing Manager in Framing in 2019. Jason is skilled in steel detailing, project planning and management, backed by his career of more than 15 years in steel frames as project manager at Stoddart Steel House Frames.
Steve has worked as HYTEK’s Administration Officer since 2014, with responsibilities covering establishing project files and contracts, procurement, invoicing and account queries. Steve has prior experience in numerous roles, including as a detailer, in procurement and project estimation.
Tim has been HYTEK’s Quality Manager in Framing since 2020, where he puts his skills in construction, construction management and steel framing to maximum use for our customers. Before joining HYTEK, Tim gained a wealth of experience in meeting customer demands as estimator manager at Stoddart Steel House Frames for 18 years. Tim started his building career as a carpenter at Laurence Lancini Constructions and was a carpenter and steel frame installer at North West Commercial Industries.
Blake has been working with Hytek since 2012 in various roles from estimation, finance/accounts, procurement and office management.
